Overview

Welcome to FitPulse — your personal fitness tracker. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

FitPulse is designed with privacy-first principles. We believe your health data is deeply personal and belongs entirely to you.

Short version: FitPulse stores all your data locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. There is no account creation, no login, and no cloud backup.

Data We Collect & Store

FitPulse collects only the data you voluntarily enter into the app. This data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (Hive database).

        We do NOT collect: location data, device identifiers, usage analytics, crash reports sent to
        servers, IP addresses, or any identifiable information beyond what you manually enter.

How Data is Stored

All data is stored locally on your device using Hive — a lightweight, fast, local key-value database. This means:

Data never leaves your device
No internet connection is required to use FitPulse
No external servers, cloud services, or databases are involved
Data persists only as long as the app is installed
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data

        Future Updates: If a future version of FitPulse introduces cloud sync or server-side features,
        this Privacy Policy will be updated and you will be clearly notified before any data leaves your device.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third parties. Period.

No analytics providers
No data brokers
No social media platforms
No government entities (unless legally required)

Since all data remains on your device, there is technically no data for us to share even if we wanted to.

App Permissions

FitPulse may request the following device permissions:

Permission	Why It's Needed
📷 Photo Library / Gallery	Optional — only if you choose to set a profile photo. Images are stored locally only.
💾 Storage Read/Write	Required to save and retrieve your fitness data locally on your device.

We will always ask for your explicit permission before accessing any device feature. You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.

Children's Privacy

FitPulse is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Since FitPulse does not collect or transmit any data to external servers, there is no risk of inadvertent data collection from minors through our platform.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this app, please be assured that all data is stored locally on the device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

Your Rights & Data Control

You have complete control over your data at all times:

Access: View all your data directly within the FitPulse app at any time
Edit: Update your profile, measurements, and fitness goals anytime
Delete: Uninstall the app to permanently delete all associated data from your device
Portability: Your data exists only on your device — it's already in your full control

        No account required: FitPulse requires no sign-up, login, or email address. There is no
        server-side profile to request deletion of.

Data Security

We take data security seriously. Since all data is stored locally on your device, security depends on your device's built-in protection mechanisms:

Data is stored in the app's private storage — inaccessible to other apps
We recommend using your device's screen lock (PIN, pattern, biometrics) for additional protection
No data is transmitted over networks, eliminating interception risks

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will:

Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
Notify users via an in-app notification for significant changes
Maintain this page at the same URL so you can always find the latest version

Continued use of FitPulse after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
